NetLib ENCRYPTIONIZER AWARDED FIPS 140-2 VALIDATION

Stamford, CT (February _, 2009) --- NetLib®, a leading innovator of data encryption security software has been awarded FIPS 140-2 Validation for its product, NetLib Encryptionizer® for SQL Server, after months of rigorous testing and procedures.

This government validation serves to further demonstrate the reliability of NetLib Encryptionizer and places increasing value on the product. FIPS, standing for Federal Information Processing Standard, are standards issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for encryption. NetLib’s validation certificate can be viewed at the NIST web site.

Becoming FIPS validated provides NetLib customers with an optimum level of assurance that their sensitive data is protected. More importantly, it guarantees that the products stated security claim is valid according to legislative security restrictions set forth by government agencies for cryptographic modules. .

“Completing the FIPS validation process provides NetLib with not only a figurative government stamp of approval, but allows companies to meet government regulations for encryption products,” explained Neil Weicher, NetLib president. .

Weicher emphasized the adequate and in-depth testing that takes place during the FIPS process should reassure customers that by purchasing NetLib Encryptionizer they are receiving “top of the line” security and data protection. He states, “NetLib Encryptionizer is the only cryptographic module that offers two forms of encryption, while simultaneously enabling companies to meet this required standard of security protection issued by FIPS 140-2 validation.” .

The FIPS Validated version will initially be offered as a separate product. Existing customers who choose to upgrade will be provided tools to re-encrypt their data from non-FIPS to FIPS validated algorithms. .
