>>DATE: 08/16/96

>>TYPE: Information

>>TITLE: N_CHECKR, N_CHECKF, N_MLOCK fail with Six Driver

>>PRODUCT(S):
NetLib 6.5x for Clipper
NetLib 6.0x for Clipper

>>PLATFORMS(S):
Clipper with Six Driver (SIXCDX, DBFSIX, etc.)

>>SUMMARY:
N_CHECKR, N_CHECKF and N_MLOCK functions fail when using Six Driver.

>>MORE INFORMATION:
SixDriver handles record locking slightly differently than the Clipper RDD standard. SixDriver does not affect N_CHECKU or N_CHECKS.

>>RESOLUTION/FIX:
Special versions of CHECK*.OBJ and MLOCK*.OBJ have been created for use with Six Driver. Use them instead of the standard modules when linking Six Driver.

If you are using Clipper 5.3x and Six Driver, replace
CHECK53.OBJ with CHECK53S.OBJ and
MLOCK53.OBJ with MLOCK53S.OBJ.

If you are using Clipper 5.2e and Six Driver, replace
CHECK52.OBJ with CHECK52S.OBJ and
MLOCK52.OBJ with MLOCK52S.OBJ.

If you are using Clipper 5.01a and Six Driver, replace
CHECK50.OBJ with CHECK50S.OBJ and
MLOCK50.OBJ with MLOCK50S.OBJ.
