>>SUMMARY:
If you do not have the latest version of the relevant Novell Client32 or Microsoft Client, NetLib functions will fail or get unpredictable results. You should confirm that you have the latest client before proceeding with debugging efforts or technical support.

>>MORE INFORMATION:
If you are having any type of problem with NetLib, the first thing you should do is confirm that you have the latest version of the relevant client.

For Novell Client32, you can confirm that this by looking at the contents of "readme.txt", which is usually housed in C:\novell\client32. The header should read "Release Notes 7/16/97", or later. If it contains an earlier date, or if readme.txt does not exist, you are not using the latest Novell Client32.

For Microsoft clients, click on "Control Panel", then "System". Under "General", it should read "System Microsoft Windows xx 4.00.950a", or later.

Also confirm that you have the latest UNICODE files, and that your application can access them.

>>RESOLUTION/FIX:
Install the latest Novell Client or Microsoft Service Pack on the workstation. Client Links will point you in the right direction. If you have futher questions, please contact your Network Aministrator.
